Bob Bielitz, seen here on the left, is a founding member of the Band of Rafters.  Bielitz was forced to drop out of the 2006 Gauley Overnighter due to a chronic nerve injury to his left elbow.  It is believed that Bielitz, who is left handed, possibly injured his nerve while drinking beer or through excessive masturbation.  Regardless of how he injured it, a surgical repair is required.

On December 19th., Bielitz will undergo outpatient surgery at a secluded medical facility in Asheville North Carolina.  There, his team of doctors will work feverously to repair and reroute his "pinched nerve."  A recovery period of 3-4 months is expected and yes, Bob will be signing up for the 2007 Rafting trip.
