Dear Andy: I'm happy to hear that Fran is once again a contributing member of the work force. But one thing still puzzles me. You said in an earlier article that people in NC tend to only hire relatives. If that's the case, then what's the deal with First Union? I hear they DON'T hire relatives. Are they trying to buck the trend or are they trying to pretend they're not in NC? Do they have some delusions of grandeur? Or did they just reach their quota? And about the missing pearls...if she doesn't have the mandatory Donna Reed or June Cleaver pearls it's probably because her husband was just too cheap to buy them for her!
