October 2004 - Gauley Overnight

About the video

Part 1
The Boys Are Back In Town

13.96mb - 2:45 mins

This is an opening montage of photographs introducing the 14 members of this weekend whitewater rafting adventure.

The background music features Thin Lizzy performing their signature hit... "The Boys Are Back In Town" with a slightly R rated intro by Ken Leitch.

Part 2
The Upper Gauley

36.2mb - 7:04 mins

Day one took place on the upper section of West Virginia's Gauley River.  A total of 5, major class V rapids are on this section.  Lots of carnage.  Watch closely the #10 boat (that's mine) on Sweet's Falls.

Music: "Up To The Roof" performed by Blue Man Group featuring Tracy Bonham and "A Better Life" performed by 3 Doors Down.

Part 3
Surfin The Holes

26.5mb - 5:28 mins

Surfin on the Gauley is all about wedging your raft into the hydraulic current formed by the water as it cascades over rocks.  The force is so powerful, it can easily suck in an 18 foot raft with 9 adult males.  Think what can happen to one of those adult males if they fall out of the raft.

Music: "Pipeline" performed by Dick Dale and Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Part 4
The Gourmet Overnight

56.7mb - 11.27 mins

What makes this rafting trip so unique is we are treated like royalty.  Awesome food with all the trimmings.  Check it out and see what I mean.  Plus there is commentary from several of the rafters.

Music: Steve Morse - Smokey Mountain Drive and the Theme from Deliverance.

Part 5
Closing Montage
33.5mb - 7:32 mins

As the name implies, this is a closing montage made up with photographs and screen shots taken from elements throughout the video.

This segment features the tune "Highway Song" by 70's hard rocking group Blackfoot.
