The Liver Hits the Fan...

Tallahassee, FL 12/18/97 - I guess it is about time the eldest of the Browne sons contributes to this annual literary madness. The last time I wrote an article for this rag was 7 years ago when I was a mere 14 years old. Much has changed since then. For starters the growth of my pubic hair is finally complete and my voice is as deep as it's going to get. Thank God puberty is over.

As of right now, I am a senior at Florida State University in Tallahassee Florida where I'm finishing up my Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.   I have managed to maintain a 3.4 GPA at the Number 1 Party School in the country.  What's cool is I was able to accomplish all this while suckering the State of Florida to pay for all my tuition... leaving more money for beer.

For most of my college life I have been very active in the FSU Marching Chiefs. As a member of FSU's world renowned drum line (The Big 8) I have had the opportunity to travel regular and post-season football and bowl games from coast to coast. In my spare time, I developed an award winning web site dedicated to the Marching Chiefs.

The web page was so successful that I got a jobs developing web sites for other companies.

Band Practice - "jeez I Have to Pee" This is where I spent 90% of my free time during the first semester... out on the practice field 5 days a week. They worked us extremely hard, in fact there is not even time for adequate "comfort" breaks. What appears to be a small drum directly in front of me is really a 2 quart portable urinal. This way I can march for hours on end without missing even a step!
Big 8 Alumni Rally Some big shot alumni, with altogether too much money, coupled with an insatiable appetite to retain his college days, hired the Big 8 to perform at a Seminole Boosters Rally in Jacksonville, FL.

All our expenses were covered PLUS we had enough beer money to last us two months!

Jennifer Stacy Burnside Those of you who have been following my love life for the last seven years (thanks to my dad), will be happy to know that I am still seeing the same person. I met Jen Burnside when I was a high school sophomore and she was a SENIOR!  What appeared to be a massive age difference then seems perfectly acceptable now. Here's Jen at our Boston house practicing her culinary skills.

One day, I hope she learns to cook without wearing a down-filled parka and leather gloves!
